Advertising Disclosure Policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Anyone who earns money from a recommendation should say so. Rules differ by country, but the principle is the same: be clear and be easy to notice.

What partners must do

  • Say clearly that a post, video or page contains affiliate links or is an advertisement, for example #ad, #affiliate or "I earn a commission if you buy".
  • Put the notice where people see it before they click or buy: at the start of a post or video, not hidden in a long list of tags or a footer.
  • Use the same language as your audience.
  • Do not present paid promotion as an independent opinion, and do not invent reviews or experiences.

Examples

  • Video: say it aloud near the start and show a text on screen.
  • Instagram or TikTok: use the platform's paid partnership tool where it exists, plus #ad at the start of the caption.
  • Blog or newsletter: a short note above the first affiliate link.

Who is responsible

The partner is responsible for the disclosures in their own content. The store may ask a partner to add a notice or remove content that breaks this policy.
